Axip Energy Services ends 2014 with a 0.36 Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR)

Houston, TX (June 30, 2015) – Axip Energy Services, LP is proud to report a Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) of 0.36 for the year ended December 31, 2014.

“Safety has always been our top priority at Axip, and I’m proud that the efforts and focus of our field service technicians and safety team are reflected in a safety record that has become the industry standard for contract compression,” said Pete Lane, CEO. “This is even more impressive given that, as a small contractor relative to our peers, we would be comparatively over-penalized for safety incidents.”

Axip’s safety record has won recognition and awards from customers including Shell and Chevron, and 2014 marks the fourth consecutive year that Axip has posted an annual TRIR below 1.0. The company is proud to have a 0.00 year to date TRIR through June 30, 2015, and recently achieved the milestone of nine consecutive months without a recordable incident.

TRIR is an important safety metric required by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA). It is calculated by multiplying the total number of recordable cases times 200,000 and dividing that number by the total hours worked by all employees during the year covered. Recordable cases are defined as work-related injuries and illnesses that cause fatalities, unconsciousness, lost work days, restricted work activity, job transfers or require medical care beyond first aid.
